Elgar Among San Diego AeA Award Winners
Elgar Electronics, a San Diego maker of programmable power supplies and related power products sold under the Elgar, Sorensen and Power Ten brands, was among winners of the San Diego Chapter of the AeA (American Electronics Association) annual High Tech Awards, presented Tuesday at the Hilton Torrey Pines. About 600 attended the event. Elgar's award, in the Semiconductors, Industrial & Analytical Instrumentation category, was based on its new ReFlex modular precision power system. Verimatrix, a maker of watermark and other copyright protection technology, received the Outstanding Emerging Growth Company award. Other winners were software company Exametric; Internet startup WebSideStory; Continuous Computing; Staccato Communications; Technology Services; and Dexcom, a medical device company.
