EMTEK Acquires Cubert to Lead Newly Formed Hyperspectral Group
ULM, Germany, Nov. 10, 2025 — Cubert GmbH, a developer of snapshot hyperspectral cameras and analysis software, has entered into a strategic partnership with Emtek Holdings, whereby Emtek will acquire a majority stake in the company. The partnership aims to scale Cubert’s technology leadership globally, shorten development cycles and speed up commercialization, and expand the impact of spectral imaging in industrial automation, medical diagnostics, environmental monitoring, and defense applications.
With EMTEK’s investment, Cubert becomes the foundation of the newly formed EMTEK Hyperspectral Group. The collaboration will focus on accelerating research, expanding market access, and strengthening the impact of hyperspectral imaging across industries.
Cubert's ULTRIS cameras support applications in machine vision, remote sensing, biomedical, and defense. Its portoflio additionally includes the CUVIS hyperspectral software suite.
Emtek Holdings is a London-based private investment platform founded by partners with more than 50 years of experience in management consulting and investment management at Bain, BCG, and Carlyle Europe. Per the investment and partnership, Cubert founder and CEO Rene Heine remains a significant minority shareholder and will continue to lead the company alongside the existing management team.
