BEDFORD, Mass., July 29 -- EM4 Inc., a Bedford-based outsourcer of the design and manufacture of optoelectronic and photonic components, announced this week it is buying the intellectual property and assets of San Jose, Calif.-based PowerNetix Inc. The purchase includes PowerNetix Unilinea packaging technology, optical manufacturing fixtures, and all PowerNetix’s pending and existing patents.
PowerNetix Inc. is best known for producing pump lasers, primarly for companies in the telecommunications, cable television and industrial markets in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
