FOSTER CITY AND FREMONT, Calif., Aug. 6 -- Applied Biosystems Group, an Applera Corporation business, and DiscoveRx Corporation have signed a co-exclusive agreement for distribution of the chemiluminescence-based HitHunter drug discovery tools. HitHunter assays and tools, which feature enzyme-fragment complementation for labeling and detection, are used to build successful precision, homogeneous, high-throughput assays for a wide variety of targets. Manufactured by DiscoveRx, HitHunter assays are formulated with Applied Biosystems Tropix brand proprietary chemiluminescence substrates to enable high-throughput screening (HTS). The agreement also provides for future strategic collaborations involving product research and development.
"We are very pleased to welcome Applied Biosystems as a distribution partner for our HitHunter platform," said Pyare Khanna, CEO of DiscoveRx.
