Alliance Fiber Optic Products Inc. announced the release of an all-passive Filter-Leaver for long-haul, regional and metro DWDM system applications. The Filter-Leaver is used to divide the C-Band or L-Band into ten sub-bands without interrupting a single channel.
    The current health of the global semiconductor industry and the prospects for its recovery will be the focus of the SEMI Pacific Northwest Outlook Dinner Forum, June 6, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Portland Hilton Downtown. The dinner program is presented by Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI). Ron Leckie, CEO of the Saratoga, Calif.-based market research firm Infrastructure, will be the guest speaker. His presentation will include a diagnosis of the global semiconductor and capital equipment industries' vital signs and his prescriptions for their recovery and continued health.
