Flir Systems Inc. a Portland, Ore., maker of thermal imaging and stabilized camera systems, announced it has been awarded a contract from Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. for delivery of three Brite Star airborne thermal imaging laser designator systems. The units will be installed on Northrop Grumman's Fire Scout vertical takeoff unmanned air vehicles for the US Navy's Littoral combat ship. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2005. Flir said up to 50 additional systems might subsequently be ordered.    . . .    Sacramento, Calif.-based Ophthalmic Imaging Systems, a subsidiary of MediVision Medical Imaging Ltd., of Israel, announced it will manufacture systems for another MediVision subsidiary, an ophthalmic imaging company in Europe, beginning in 2005..    . . .    Universal Display Corp., a Ewing, N.J., developer of organic light-emitting device (OLED) technologies for flat panel displays, lighting and other optoelectronics applications, received the New Jersey Technology Council's 2004 Public Company of the Year Award at a ceremony attended by 500 Friday in East Brunswick.
