Olympus Corp. has chosen CoCreate's OneSpace Designer as the 3-D design environment for development of its stereo microscopes, which are used in the medical, biological and industrial fields to observe relatively large samples, and especially for examining semiconductors and liquid crystal boards during the inspection process and in the manufacturing and assembly of precision instruments. CoCreate, which has a US office in Fort Collins, Colo., is a provider of project team collaboration and 3-D CAD software; it said Olympus used its OneSpace designer modeling for 3-D design and Model Manager for design data management to support development from concept to mass production.
