Carl Zeiss MicroImaging Inc., a developer of optical imaging technologies, and Cellomics Inc., a Pittsburgh, Pa., biotechnology company, have announced plans to bring small-molecule screening to basic science researchers supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as part of its Molecular Libraries Screening Centers Network. The companies will provide research tools such as high-resolution imaging and ultrahigh throughput for NIH drug discovery screening centers. . . . Michel Dermont has been elected a vice president of Eastman Kodak Co. Dermont joined Kodak in July as general manager of the European, African and Middle Eastern Region within the company's Digital & Film Imaging Systems division. He is based in Geneva.
