Datacube Inc., a Danvers, Mass., supplier of image processing hardware, software and systems, has been selected to be a member of Raytheon's SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) team. SeaPort-e is a multiple award contract totaling over $3.8 billion that provides engineering, technical and support services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center and Naval Undersea Warfare Center. Contracts are administered by Naval Sea Systems Command. Team members will participate in the contracts according to their areas of expertise. . . . The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) has named Intel Corp. CEO Craig R. Barrett as the recipient of the 2004 IEEE Robert N. Noyce Medal, for his contributions to semiconductor manufacturing technology and leadership in the field. The award will be presented at the annual IEEE honors ceremony, to be held June 19 in Kansas City, Mo. . . . KLA-Tencor, a San Jose, Calif., supplier of yield enhancement equipment to integrated circuit manufacturing lines, has contributed $100,000 to the University of Rochester’s optics building fund. The 91,000-square-foot structure, to be shared by optics and biomedical engineering departments, is expected to be completed by June 2006. The estimated $30 million project includes a technology transfer program, the Center for Institute Ventures.
