The CTLM system uses laser technology and proprietary algorithms to create cross-sectional and 3-D images of the breast for the detection of cancer. . . . Suros Surgical Systems Inc., an Indianapolis, Ind.-based medical device manufacturer in the life sciences field, signed an agreement this week with Bedford, Mass.-based Hologic Inc., a developer of medical imaging systems, to distribute the Suros ATEC breast biopsy and excision system in the US. ATEC is a vacuum-assisted breast biopsy system that is compatible with Hologic's stereotactic breast biopsy systems, which uses advanced digital imaging to pinpoint the location of areas for biopsy.
