The Royal Microscopical Society announced it is launching its 2004 International Micrograph Competition. Winning entries will be chosen by a panel of scientists and will be displayed at MicroScience 2004, to be held July 6-8 in London. Life and materials microscopists may submit more than one entry, and there will be first, second and third prizes for the best light and electron microscopy micrographs. The deadline for entries is June 30. Submit micrographs to [email protected], or send images on CD to: RMS International Micrograph Competition, Royal Microscopical Society, 37/38 St Clements, Oxford, OX4 1AJ, UK. Each entry should include a short description of the subject matter and a brief description of the microscope setup used. For more information, visit: www.microscience2004.org.uk   . . .   Ultratech Inc., a San Jose, Calif., supplier of photolithography systems used to manufacture semiconductors and nanotechnology devices, announced it has received orders for its NanoTech 160 dual-side alignment stepper and a reduction stepper from the Infotonics Technology Center, of Canandaigua, N.Y., for use in microelectromechanical systems and micro-optoelectromechanical systems research and development applications.
