Analog Devices Inc.'s iMEMS Gyroscope was the winner of Electronic Design News magazine's 2002 Innovation of the Year award. ADI's ADXRS150 won the top award in the sensor components category. . . . Larry Tannenbaum has been named CFO and senior vice president, finance and administration, at IRIDEX Corp., effective May 19. He will succeeed Robert Kamenski, who is leaving the company to pursue other interests. IRIDEX makes infrared and semiconductor-based laser systems for the ophthalmology and aesthetics markets. . . . Leroy Hood, MD, PhD, a board member at CTI Molecular Imaging, has been awarded the $500,000 Lemelson-MIT Prize for 2003 for his inventions including the automated DNA sequencer, a device that sequences proteins, and two machines for synthesizing proteins and DNA. CTI, of Knoxville, Tenn., is a provider of positron emission tomography equipment (PET), molecular probes and services. Hood is president and cofounder of the Institute for Systems Biology. CTI also announced that its CPS Innovations unit recently delivered its 600th PET imaging system.
