Light Management Group Inc. (LMG), a Norcross, Georgia-based developer of new applications in optical and light technologies, announced the appointment of Henry C. Dorsey as its new vice-president in charge of US Operations. Dorsey brings to his new position more than thirty years’ experience in the telecommunications industry and comes to LMG from Lucent Technologies in Atlanta where he was a district manager of System Engineering.
    Polatis, the Cambridge,England-based company that develops fiber optic switches for telecommunications equipment manufacturers, recently appointed Elmo Perera as COO. In his new position, Perera will play a key role in the development and roll-out of Polatis all-optical switches.
