In response to a number of investor inquiries, Vancouver-based 360networks has confirmed that it is in full compliance with all agreements under the company's $1.2 billion senior secured credit facility. At the end of 2000, $350 million had been drawn under this facility. 360networks is currently drawing on the balance, as needed, to complete the development of a global fiber optic network. The company also confirmed that it intends to meet interest payments under its debt obligations.
    Japan-based Alps Electric Co. Ltd. announced that it will ship samples of its newly developed TDMU7 series of RF units to the US in July. The RF units incorporate an internal demodulator -- an industry first -- for use in the 8-Vestigal Side Band modulation system used in digital terrestrial broadcasting in the US.
