EXFO Electro-Optical Engineering Inc. has launched its IQ-12007A Multiwavelength Comb Controller, its first integrated system to enable full, automated control of multiple laser sources for erbium-doped fiber amplifiers.
    Lucent Technologies has announced a new venture, AraLight Inc., which is developing high-bandwidth, ultra-dense, optoelectronic modules that will help alleviate current bottlenecks in the switching and routing of Internet traffic. The new venture has received investments totaling $10 million from Ridgewood Capital, Signal Lake Ventures and Solar Venture Partners.
