GSI Lumonics Inc. announced it has received an order for multiple WaferRepair memory repair systems from a semiconductor DRAM manufacturer in Taiwan, to be delivered in the third quarter of 2004. GSI Lumonics, of Billerica, Mass., makes precision motion control components, lasers and laser-based advanced manufacturing systems to medical, semiconductor, electronics and industrial markets. . . . PerkinElmer Inc. said it has received clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration for its NeoGram amino acids and acylcarnitines tandem mass spectrometry kit, used to screen for metabolic distorders in newborns. . . . Zygo Corp., a Middlefield, Conn.-based supplier of optical metrology instruments, precision optics and electro-optical design and manufacturing services, announced it will sell its vacant Westborough, Mass., facility this fall. It said the sale is expected to net approximately $2 million. Bruce Robinson, Zygo's CEO, said the sale will mark the company's withdrawal from the telecommunications segment of its business.
