(TI) Senior Vice President Richard Schaar has been appointed math and science education policy advisor for the corporation. Schaar will work with TI management and trustees of the Texas Instruments Foundation to implement programs to increase high-school graduates' interest and abilities in collegiate studies in science, mathematics and engineering. Schaar, who was previously president of TI's Education & Productivity Solutions business, is active in educational reform.
