Ricardo Diaz has been appointed COO of StockerYale. He will be based at the company's Montreal facility and will oversee operations in Montreal; Salem, N.H.; and Cork, Ireland. Diaz was previously a general manager for the Harris Corp. Microwave Communications Division, and he founded BroadTel Communications, a broadband wireless product company based in Cupertino, Calif. StockerYale makes structured light lasers, LEDs, fiber optic and fluorescent illumination technologies as well as specialty optical fiber and phase masks for machine vision, telecommunications, aerospace, defense and security, utilities, industrial inspection, and medical markets. . . . Tattile srl a Brescia, Italy-based supplier of machine vision systems, has opened a US subsidiary in Bedford, N.H. Tim White has been named vice president of technology, John Merva as vice president of sales and operations and Lilly Wahl as office manager of Tattile USA, which will provide sales, service, application engineering and technology development in the US and North America. Tattile’s products include stand-alone smart cameras and image processor products based on embedded microprocessor architecture. It also has a line of industrial cameras.
