Teradyne and Mentor Graphics Corp. announced a partnership aimed at speeding time-to-market, reducing test costs and improving yields of semiconductors tested with design-for-test techniques. The initial phase will focus on providing a complete solution for rapid failure diagnosis by linking the Mentor Graphics FastScan software diagnostics tool and Teradyne ATE, including the J973 and J750 VLSI testers and Catalyst and Tiger test systems.

DuPont Photomasks Inc. announced the results of the board of directors election held recently during the company's annual shareholders meeting: Re-elected to the board were Photomasks president and COO Preston M. Adcox and former E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co. executive Susan Vladuchick Sam. Newly elected board members are KLA-Tencor executive Robert J. Boehlke and University of Texas professor Isabella C.M. Cunningham. Retiring from the board are John W. Himes, senior vice president, corporate strategy of E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co., and Gary W. Pankonien, president and COO of Caleb Technologies Corp.

Xeotron Corporation has appointed the following to its advisory board George Church, Ph.D., professor, director of the Lipper Center for Computational Genetics, Harvard Medical School; David G. Wang M.D., Ph.D., executive vice president of strategy, technology and operations, First Genetic Trust Inc.; and C. Thomas Caskey, M.D., president and chief executive officer of CoGene Biotech Ventures, Ltd. Xeotron company develops and manufactures high-performance, inexpensive biochips based on a proprietary technology platform combining photochemistry, digital photonics and microfluidics.
