RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif., Oct. 24 -- Microtel International Inc. said its CXR Telcom subsidiary has secured orders totaling $1.1 million to provide its 704A-NTS1 -- a handheld, integrated and analog/digital test instrument -- to Verizon. The instruments are used to test DSL broadband Internet access lines.
The secured orders represent approximately 150 universal data test sets, a continuation of a series of orders Verizon first placed with Microtel in 1998. Microtel said it is highly likely that Verizon will place additional orders totaling at least $3 million over the next two years.
