David Bergman, vice president of standards, technology and international relations at IPC (Association Connecting Electronics Industries), will head its international relations division, created to support its plan to become a global trade association for the electronics manufacturing industry. The division will be responsible for IPC’s activities outside the US, including oversight of IPC's WOFE (wholly owned foreign enterprise) in China and it European representative. Bergman is currently secretary general of the World Electronic Circuit Council and has been heavily involved in IPC’s activities in China. He also spearheaded new initiatives in India, including the launch of an IPC training center.
