Brillia, the light engine division of Permlight Products Inc. of Tustin, Calif., announced Barry Williams has been named director, Western region OEM sales, responsible for the ongoing collaboration with original equipment manufacturers in the region to help bring LED-based luminaries to market. Williams joins Brillia from Nichia, a developer of LEDs and supplier to Permlight. Williams developed Nichia’s Western regional sales since its California sales office opened in 2004. Prior to Nichia, Williams was business development manager for Teledyne Technologies Inc. He has also worked in product development in the automotive industry for Eaton Corp., United Technologies and Daimler-Chrysler.
