Andor to Distribute for Headwall and Specim
Belfast, Ireland-based Andor Technology, a maker of high-performance digital cameras and light-measurement products, announced sales and marketing agreements with spectrograph manufacturers at the LASER 2007 exhibition last week in Munich, Germany. Andor will distribute Raman Explorer multichannel, multispectrum spectrographs made by Headwall Photonics, based in Fitchburg, Mass., and the ImSpector direct sight imaging spectrograph from Specim Spectral Imaging Ltd., of Oulu, Finland. Andor launched two new spectrographs of its own at the exhibition: the Shamrock SR-500 and SR-750, for raman and fluorescence applications. The Shamrock SR-500 has an f/6.5 aperture, 1.7-nm/mm reciprocal dispersion and 0.05-nm wavelength resolution. The SR-750 has f/9.8 aperture, 1.1-nm/mm reciprocal dispersion and 0.03-nm wavelength resolution. Both offer 0- to 1200-nm mechanical scan, ±0.2-nm wavelength accuracy and 28x14-mm focal plane measurements.
