American Medical Systems (AMS) of Minnetonka, Minn., has entered into an agreement to acquire Laserscope of San Jose, Calif. Both companies focus on men’s health, with AMS having already developed treatment methods for nonobstructive benign prostatic hyperplasia. With the acquisition, they will offer treatment methods for obstructive benign prostatic hyperplasia.
