Agilent Reduces Price of its DFB Laser Modules

PALO ALTO, Calif., March 8 -- Agilent Technologies Inc. announced a 25 percent reduction in the price of its 81662A +10 dBm distributed feedback (DFB) laser source modules. With a new US list price of $5250, the products will now be available to a larger share of the market, the company said.
   Agilent's DFB laser source modules enable a number of different test set-ups and bring a robust testing solution to a wide range of users, including companies that deploy optical transmission solutions, such as dense wavelength-division multiplexing systems and optical amplifiers.
