Adept Opens NE Center
LIVERMORE, Calif., July 10, 2007 -- Adept Technology, a Livermore, Calif.-based maker of production automation products, announced it has opened a new robotics automation company, CT Robotics LLC, at 800 Main St. South, in Southbury, Conn.
CT Robotics will provide exclusive sales and applications services for Adept Technology in northeastern US and in Canada, Adept said Monday.
Adept announced last week it will close its Southbury, Conn., and Quebec facilities "due to North American market erosion" and to reduce costs as part of a restructuring (See: Adept to Cut Jobs by 15%).
The CT Robotics application technical center will be headed by Brian Harris, formerly Adept's director of sales for the US, primarily in the Northeast.
