VALENCIA, Calif., Aug. 16 -- 3D Systems Corp. has entered into an agreement with the US Department of Justice that will enable the company to complete its previously announced merger with Austin, Texas-based DTM Corporation.
   Under the terms of the settlement agreement, 3D Systems has agreed to enter into a patent licensing agreement for either stereolithography or selective laser sintering with a third party.
   "We are very pleased that we have reached a mutually acceptable agreement with the Department of Justice, and we believe that the merger with DTM will result in considerable benefit to our company, shareholders and customers, enabling us to offer a full spectrum of material systems to current and prospective customers." said Brian K. Service, 3D Systems' president and chief executive officer.
