The Australian Solar Institute (ASI) will provide $11 million to help fund five research and development projects that will support and accelerate the growth of Australia’s solar technology sector. ASI is part of the government’s $4.5 billion Clean Energy Initiative, which includes the Solar Flagships initiative. The institutions receiving funds are the University of New South Wales, the University of Newcastle, the Australian National University and the University of Queensland.
