Silicon Valley-based solar energy company Tandem PV appointed Scott Wharton CEO. Wharton, who previously held positions at Logitech and founded cloud-based video conference services provider Vidtel, replaces company co-founder Colin Bailie, who will remain company CTO.

BRISBANE, Calif. — Cutera Inc., a provider of aesthetic and dermatology solutions, named Jeff Jones COO. Jones previously held positions at Coherent Medical Group and Reliant Technologies Inc. (Fraxel).

SEATTLE — Biotechnology company NanoString Technologies Inc. named Todd Garland chief commercial officer (CCO). Garland is a senior executive with more than 25 years of experience in health care and life sciences technologies. Most recently he served as CCO at Cytek Biosciences.

CENTENNIAL, Colo. — Blue laser technology developer NUBURU named John Bolton to its board of directors. Bolton, former U.S. national security adviser, will provide strategic insight to support the company’s efforts to expand its presence in the defense, energy, and aerospace markets. He will also provide guidance on the impact of international relations and regulations on NUBURU’s business and customer base, the company said.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Onsemi appointed Christina Lampe-Önnerud to its board of directors. Lampe-Önnerud recently served as CEO of Boston-Power Inc. and served as co-chairman of the WEF Global Future Council on Energy. She holds more than 80 patents on designs, products, devices, components, materials, and processes, and she has over 25 technical publications in scientific journals.
