Desert Silicon Inc., a supplier of spin-on glass (SOG) and other materials, has appointed Neutron Technology Enterprise of Singapore to represent its SOG products in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

“We are very pleased to announce a partnership with Neutron Technology as part of a strategic distribution expansion for Desert Silicon,” said Kent Ridgeway, founder and CEO of Desert Silicon. “Neutron Technology is a well-established and trusted name in the growing Singapore semiconductor market. This partnership provides our customers with valuable resources for ordering, product supply, and support from a company that shares our deep commitment to ensuring a world-class customer experience.”

SOG is a silicate-based liquid compound, primarily used by the semiconductor industry in the manufacturing of integrated circuits and discrete components. This electronic material component is often leveraged in the early stages of product development for semiconductor and electronic device manufacturers. Research and development labs also use SOG for the development of new or improving existing manufactured products, such as integrated circuits, solar cells, MEMS, and discrete components.

“We are indeed humbled by this partnership with Desert Silicon and very excited about the opportunities ahead of us,” said Pek Sek Khai, founder and managing director of Neutron Technology.

Desert Silicon is a global supplier of SOG and other materials and services used by the semiconductor, compound semiconductor, LED, and solar industries. Neutron Technology supplies products and services for the semiconductor market, including upstream silicon wafer manufacturing, front-end wafer fabrication, back-end test and assembly, LCD, LED, and solar photovoltaic cell manufacturing.
