About This Webinar
The world we live in is changing rapidly and technologies are emerging to adapt to this dynamic landscape. One such emerging and quickly evolving technology is Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (VCSEL) arrays, which are opening new possibilities and deploying into myriad applications today. With Industry-standard housing dimensions, high reliability, and excellent performance over extended operational temperatures, VCSEL arrays are ideal for a variety of 3D sensing applications in the consumer, industrial and automotive industries.

Available in a broad range of wavelengths, output powers, and architectures customized for various application based on customer requirements, VCSEL arrays are providing the path to the future. In automotive applications, VCSEL arrays are optimized to enable short, medium, and long-range LiDAR systems in ADAS and autonomous driving solutions. Next generation driver monitoring systems (DMS) and gesture control for in-cabin applications are made possible by high-power, high-reliability 940 nm VCSEL arrays. In mobile devices, VCSELs are used for biometric security and augmented reality (AR), among other applications.

In this presentation, Matt Everett will cover how VCSEL arrays are enabling new 3D sensing and LiDAR applications.

***This presentation premiered during the 2021 Photonics Spectra Conference Lasers track. For information on upcoming Photonics Media events, see our event calendar here.
