These developments make understanding the impact of manufacturing tolerances on lens performance more important than ever before. Proper alignment between the lens and the sensor becomes critical as sensor sizes and pixel counts increase. About the presenter:
Greg HollowsGreg Hollows is vice president of product strategy in Edmund Optics’ Cherry Hill, N.J., office. He leads new product development across multiple business lines at Edmund Optics, including imaging, strategic optical innovations, and integrated electro-optics. Hollows has decades of experience in the machine vision industry. He currently serves as a board member on A3 (the Association for Advancing Automation) and was a past chairman of the AIA (now A3). He received bachelor’s degrees in physics and chemistry from Rutgers University, located in New Brunswick, N.J.
