About This Webinar
Humans do a good job at visual inspection. We can spot differences and learn by example, and we are adaptable. However, when we get tired, bored, or distracted, we tend to make mistakes. For manufacturers that rely on human inspection during key production steps, these mistakes can translate into additional costs and quality risks that potentially harm brand reputation. In this presentation, Hou will discuss how new “no code” algorithm development, training tools, and turnkey inspection systems are making AI accessible and affordable for all areas of manufacturing. He will also highlight how both an electronics manufacturer and a distillery rely on AI decision-support tools to help ensure end-to-end quality and protect their brands. Hou will cover:
  • Why visual inspection is important, and what types of challenges and errors are experienced and discovered.
  • Where AI tools can help a manufacturer — for example, in customized and localized production, where full automaton is too complicated or expensive.
  • What “no code” is and how it can help quality managers design their own automation workflow (for ease of use and cost advantages).
  • How these systems work, including video examples of an AI algorithm in use.
  • A case study of an electronics manufacturer using the system for decision support during inspection of high-value, low-volume products.
  • A case study of a distillery using the system for brand management, including to assist an operator in manual labeling processes and in the final quality control check on finished goods.
