About the presenter:
Yair Rivenson, Ph.D., is CTO and co-founder of Pictor Labs. Since 2019 he has been an assistant researcher and adjunct professor at the UCLA School of Engineering. Spinning off from his research at UCLA, he founded Pictor Labs alongside Aydogan Ozcan and has served as its CTO since December 2020, with a goal of moving toward chemistry-free histopathology. Rivenson's background is in the field of computational imaging and sensing, biomedical imaging, microscopy, and computer vision and machine learning algorithms. He has filed for more than 10 patents and co-authored over 60 peer-reviewed journal articles and 110 conference proceedings. He is also a fellow at multiple professional societies and serves as a senior editor and area chair for photonics-themed journals and conferences.
