About This Webinar
Biophotonics applications often involve precision measurements of optical power. The light sources used to extract details in these applications are almost always diverging or converging (for example, scattered light from a tissue sample, or the converging beam from a microscope objective), and measuring such beams accurately can be tricky – it’s significantly more complicated than doing so for “conventional” parallel laser beams. This webinar will address the challenges in accurately measuring diverging and converging beams (such as fully capturing a widely diverging beam, angular dependence of the sensor responsivity, beam clipping for small active areas) and how to overcome them – including actual examples from research and medical applications.
