About This Webinar
Widely tunable continuous-wave optical parametric oscillators (CW OPOs) have matured into versatile laser light sources. Presenters Niklas Waasem and Korbinian Hens take a closer look at CW OPO design principles, critically examine performance highlights and limitations, and showcase some exciting real-world applications in the field of quantum sensing.

***This presentation premiered during the 2022 Photonics Spectra Conference. For more information on Photonics Media conferences, visit events.photonics.com.

About the presenters:
Niklas WaasemNiklas Waasem, Ph.D., is sales manager and applications specialist for HÜBNER Photonics. He joined the company in 2014, bringing profound photonics knowledge gained during his doctoral work at the Fraunhofer Institute for Physical Measurement Techniques IPM, done in co-operation with the University of Freiburg, Germany.

Korbinian HensKorbinian Hens, Ph.D., is chief operating officer and R&D manager for HÜBNER Photonics. He joined the company in 2015, specializing in terahertz spectroscopy and tunable laser systems based on OPO technology. With a background in laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy for atmospheric research, he carried out his doctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry in Mainz, Germany.
