About This Webinar
Conor Evans introduces pharmacokinetic (PK) tomography — 3D quantitative imaging of drug uptake within tissue — using stimulated Raman scattering microscopy. He presents machine learning-based approaches for quantification, along with a new sparse spectral sampling approach for rapid hyperspectral stimulated Raman scattering imaging.

About the presenter:
Conor L. Evans, Ph.D., is an associate professor at Harvard Medical School. He is also an affiliated faculty member of the Harvard University Biophysics Program and a faculty member of the Laser Biomedical Research Center. He leads a lab at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. His lab’s research is focused on the development and clinical translation of optical microscopy and spectroscopy tools. Evans is a recipient of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director’s New Innovator Award, and his efforts have resulted in the creation of new technologies that are currently in multiple clinical trials. Other awards he has received include the Goldwater Scholarship, NASA Space Grants, and the American Society for Photobiology (ASP) New Investigator Award. He is a Royce Fellow of Brown University and a SPIE Fellow. He is also an editor for
Scientific Reports and an academic editor for
PLOS One. Evans has written more than 85 peer-reviewed publications. He holds 13 patents and patent applications and works to translate his technologies to the clinic. He additionally serves the Wellman Center as faculty liaison to the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD).
