About This Webinar
Plasmonics, or the investigation and manipulation of electron oscillations along metal–dielectric interfaces, is an emerging technology with great innovation potential. Biophotonic sensing, microscopy, communications, and color filters are just a few of the many applications that can benefit from this promising technology.

With the help of multiphysics simulation software, scientists and engineers can explore optical effects in metamaterials, nanoparticles, surface plasmon polarities, and wire gratings. Furthermore, with such software, exotic phenomena can be modeled and analyzed when plasmonic effects are joined with periodic structures to form metamaterials.

In this presentation, you will learn how to analyze plasmonic designs and explore effects like cloaking and optical transmission in the COMSOL Multiphysics software and its add-on Wave Optics Module. COMSOL Multiphysics is an integrated software environment for creating physics-based models and simulation apps. Add-on products expand the simulation platform for electromagnetics, structural, acoustics, fluid flow, heat transfer, and chemical applications.
