New capabilities coming to Materion Balzers Optics - Window Housings for Cooled IR Detectors. Materion is a leading supplier of metalized windows for cooled IR detectors. Typical components include Ge or Si window, AR coated on both faces, and metalized at the perimeter. The window is soldered into a machined Kovar/Alloy 42 housing, then this subassembly is soldered or welded onto the cooled detector under a vacuum. Contact us to learn more.
