The CableMaster VFL from Softing, Inc. is a fiber optic visual fault locator, continuity tester, and polarity detector. The locator provides continuity testing and fault location for optical fibers in both single- and multimode by emitting a pulsed or continuous Class 2 visible laser. The CableMaster VFL emits light at 635 nm, transmits less than 1 mW of power, can test fiber optic cables up to 5 km.
