Microscopy Illumination
Nikon Instruments Inc.Request Info
Nikon Inc.’s Ti-LAPP laser application system provides up to 32 imaging modalities for biological research in tandem with the Eclipse Ti, a proprietary inverted research microscope.
The microscope uses two illumination layers to accommodate module combinations including epifluorescence, total internal reflection fluorescence (TIRF), photobleaching, and digital micromirror device (DMD)-mediated photoactivation.
Features include a new H-TIRF module that provides autoalignment and autoadjustment of incident angles for optimizing the evanescent field depth. Calibrations can be made independently for each wavelength and experiment, and the settings can be saved and reused.
The new DMD module, for user-defined region-of-interest-based photostimulation, enables multipoint simultaneous photoactivation as well as precision patterning of illumination for optogenetics.
