Flir Systems Inc.'s FireFlir is a lightweight, hands-free thermal imager designed for firefighting applications. The uncooled microbolometer detector system detects up to 16,000 temperature levels and delivers both monochrome and color images. The FireFlir's self-contained viewing apparatus has no external cables, attaches to the underside brim of any standard firefighter's helmet and can be transferred to other helmets for shared use.
