Photoresistors in the NSL-RHS99 and NSL-SMD65 series from Advanced Photonix are cadmium sulfide (CdS) light-dependent resistor (LDR) devices for applications including street and solar lighting, flame detection, camera light meters, exposure, and shutter controls. The NSL-RHS99 series photoresistors are available in three different resistance values, in a compact package measuring 5.2 × 4.4 mm. The NSL-SMD65 series features surface-mount device photoresistors that can be integrated into automated assembly lines, thereby reducing production time and costs. Both lines feature light sensitivity with resistance decreasing as light levels increase, mimicking the characteristics of the human eye.
