ZEISS Superresolution SIM MicroscopesThe Lattice SIM 3 and Lattice SIM 5 from ZEISS are superresolution microscopes that use structured illumination microscopy (SIM) to overcome the physical resolution limits of light microscopy. Along with the already established ZEISS Elyra 7, this family of products offers super-resolution imaging for a range of applications, including optical sectioning of tissues and developing organisms, high-speed imaging of living cells, and molecular imaging. The microscopes use many techniques including single molecule localization microscopy (SMLM) and total internal reflection fluorescence (TIRF) microscopy among others and features superresolution down to 60 nm in both living and fixed cells in the Lattice Sim 5.
