PriorScientific.jpgPrior Scientific Inc. has added several high-speed features to the ProScan II and PriorPCI2 stepper motor controllers that enable full system control via transistor-transistor logic (TTL) methods. Each of the four TTL inputs on the controllers now can be configured to execute a series of commands to control the company’s X-Y stage, focus mirror, filter wheels and shutters, and to adjust the light level on the Lumen 200Pro motorized fluorescence illumination system. The TTL triggers can be configured to change focus position to perform Z-stacks, to open and close shutters, to attenuate Lumen 200Pro light output and to change the X-Y stage position and fluorescence filters. The control methods eliminate serial communication delays and increase throughput in applications such as multiposition 3-D imaging and high-throughput screening.
