Source for Surgical Lighting
Philips Burton
CHATSWORTH, Calif., March 28, 2011 — Philips Burton has introduced the Apex line of surgical lighting for reliable operation, simplicity and ease of use. The products have a 4200 K color temperature and a color rendering index of 95, creating the high-intensity, pure- white lighting (with no blue hues) necessary to provide optimal visibility in health care environments.
Suitable for surgical lighting in operating rooms, emergency rooms and trauma centers, the sources feature a durable, aesthetic arm system that produces drift- and trouble-free operation, offering unlimited arm rotation. Products also include an autoclavable center handle for smooth focus and a sterilizable handle that locks into position with one hand, adjusting easily and helping prevent the spread of germs and bacteria in health care facilities.
The light sources provide high-intensity illumination of 120,000 lx/11,148 fc at 1 m and have a 61-cm-diameter light head. They are supplied with a control box including an on/off switch and continuous intensity adjustment. The standard models are 120 V, with 100-, 230- and 240-V models available upon request.
The products offer single and dual ceiling mounting options. They feature a multibulb design that eliminates the need for the backup systems used in single source lights, internal heat shields to ensure low heat output, and continuous dimming adjustments from the control panel.
