InnoLas Laser GmbH’s picolo AOT series lasers are compact and efficient high-repetition-rate, short-pulse solid-state devices operating with high energy in the UV, visible and near-infrared.
Proprietary high-speed switching technology allows the electro-optical Q-switched lasers to deliver kilohertz pulses below 1-ns duration that are synchronizable to external events with subnanosecond accuracy.
The lasers comprise master oscillator power amplifier units. They operate with a pulse rate from 0 to 100 kHz, pulse energy of >100 µJ and peak power of >100 kW.
They are used in industrial, commercial and R&D applications. Their short, intense pulses provide many advantages. In precision processing and marking, the short interaction time reduces workpiece heating effects and improves quality. In applications such as ranging, and in excite-and-probe studies, short pulses increase temporal resolution. In nonlinear harmonic and parametric processes, the high intensity of the short pulses leads to high conversion efficiency.
