The LumiSun-50™ from Innovations in Optics is a benchtop LED solar simulator for research applications such as PV cell testing and material degradation studies. The simulator uses thermoelectric cooling and light collection optics for spectral intensity stability and employs a multiwavelength array of long-lifetime LEDs independently driven and user-controlled to set spectra. The LumiSun-50 features a spectral range of 350 – 1250 nm, adjustable irradiance from 0.1 Suns to 1.2 Suns, over 20,000 hours of LED life, and a 50 mm × 50 mm uniform area of illuminations.
