Kopin Corp. has announced Solos ultralightweight smart eyewear, aerodynamically designed for optimal performance, comfort and style while cycling.
The device allows cyclists to easily access and share performance data on a head-up display in real time wirelessly from their smartphone or wearable fitness device. It has been analyzed and tested in wind tunnels to ensure reduced drag. Antislip temple and nose pads provide grip during high-intensity training.
A 4-mm virtual screen provides see-through/see-around vision while showcasing a 5-in. virtual display with bright, high-resolution color graphics. The screen cuts glare for the sunniest of days with nSight optomechanical adjustment to minimize eye strain. The eyewear monitors performance metrics such as heart rate, speed, power, pace, cadence, distance, duration, and other Bluetooth and ANT+ compatible data.
