OmniVision Technologies Inc. has announced the OV2718 CameraChip sensor for security cameras.
The 1/3-in. sensor uses OmniBSI-2 pixel architecture to deliver low-light performance, high dynamic range and 1080p HD video. It is designed for mainstream security and surveillance systems.
The OV2718 can record HD video at 30 fps in high-dynamic-range mode. It leverages in-pixel technology to capture crisp, clear images when recording in high- and low-light environments.
